Welcome to Read Me Unconditionally, where bookish adventures and local treasures unite! 

Say "hello" to our blind date with a book experience, where each package holds the fun of a literary surprise and the joy of locally made treasures.

WHY WE EXIST:

When Hurricane Helene swept through our beautiful Western North Carolina mountains, we experienced loss, devastation, and uncertainty in our area. In the weeks that followed, our family found solace in our home library. Books brought togetherness, entertainment, and a sense of normalcy.

As we began to pick up the pieces, and things were beginning to feel like normal, we were hit with another blow when I lost my job due to company cutbacks.

I was left with a personal need (income) and I saw a community in need (amazing Asheville area artists who were greatly affected). 

I decided to jump in feet first and turn an idea that I've had for a long time, into a business....and in doing so, Read Me Unconditionally was born. The concept embraces fun, creativity, and brings awareness and support to multiple families in our area. 

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU SHOP: 

• All books are rated 3.5 or higher on Good Reads
• All Books are gently loved or brand new. Books are as close to "new" condition as possible. However, some may have the creases that come with being loved once before. As with our own bodies, these creases and extra lines are simply part of the book's character and should be appreciated as such
• You're sure to find a wealth of hidden gems on our site! Books are chosen based on current reviews, awards, best seller lists, and personal recommendations
• There is always the risk that you'll receive a book that you already own - try to utilize the clues on each page to determine if it might be something you've read before you purchase. The unknown is part of the fun! That said, if you REALLY want to know what book is in a specific box, just reach out, we're happy to help! *Due to the nature of our product, there are no returns. You're encouraged to regift! Please feel free to reach out and discuss further. 
• Locally made products are hand-picked to be added to our book boxes
• Every purchase will include at least one hand crafted product from a locally owned business
• Visit our "Locally Owned" page to see local companies that we've sourced goods from for our boxes...show them love by following them on social media or posting a picture of your book box and tagging each company (including Read Me Unconditionally)
• Your purchase helps bring attention to WNC businesses
• WRITE A REVIEW! The best thing you (and/or your gift recipient) can do is write us a review on Facebook and Google - this helps us get seen!
